Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a technology that transmits sound waves to the target tissue. The goal is to create microtrauma to the tissue, increasing blood flow and regeneration leading to a decrease in pain and promoting healing in the target tissue.
ESWT treats the following:
- plantar fasciitis
- tendinopathy (rotator cuff/knee/ankle)
- trigger points
- iliotibial band pain
- epicondylitis (tennis and golfer’s elbow)
- patellar tendinopathy
